Pack 1800 Summertime Kickoff Event: Friday Night Bowling

bowlingWhat a great way to kick off our Pack Summertime activities!

Pack 1800 Bowling  is a really cool and fun way to spend a Friday evening with your family! We have lanes reserved from 7:00 pm through 9:00 pm on Friday, June 20 at the popular Emerald Bowl.

You don’t want to be late to this event! Be there early so you can get your bowling shoes, and we can get everyone entered into the scoring computer!!

We have arranged a special price of $10 per bowler. Food and drink ARE NOT included in this price, but the bowling alley does have a snack bar.

Please RSVP for this event so we can plan ahead by replying to the Evite that you received in your email. This is so we can get an accurate headcount. If you did not receive the invitation, please contact Cubmaster Wayne.

Yes. It’s that time again!  Time for our Scouts to move up in rank as we celebrate and close out the school scouting year!  This is our last Pack meeting till September, so you don’t want to miss it….

Highlands Multicultural Festival – May 3, 10am-3pm

Multi FestPack 1800 is once again going to be a proud participant in this years Multicultural Festival at Highland’s Elementary.

Pack 1800 will:

  • Participate in a cleanup and recycling Conservation Project to continue to help keep the school grounds clean of waste and help improve the environment. By helping with the Conservation Project, scouts can earn service requirements for their rank and earn a service patch.  Rotations will be hourly and only last 10 minutes.
  • Host a game outside.

Spring Family Campout: April 4 – 6, 2014

 

14024Yeah! This is what I’m talkin’ about! It’s time for our next exciting outdoor adventure: Our annual Spring Family Campout will take place at Huntsville State Park.   The event will be from Friday, April 4 through Sunday,  April 6.

Even if you don’t want to camp, you and your family can still come on Saturday to spend the day at the park, participate in the Pack campfire program in the evening, and drive home that night.

This is a fantastic experience to share with your Cub Scout. All the boys have a great time!

Blue & Gold Banquet – February 27

It’s time to celebrate!

February’s Pack Meeting is going to be full of fun and entertainment as we celebrate Boy Scouts of America’s birthday at our annual Blue & Gold Banquet.

Note: This meeting begins at 6:30pm.

Scouts eat for free.  All non-scouts  $8.  Bring the whole family.

Agenda:

  • Corelli’s Italian Cuisine.  Hot Dogs will also be available.
  • Texas Snakes & More Show    

They don’t just show an animal, talk about it and put it back up. All the kids get to handle all the animals – they are all very safe and friendly!                                                                                                              Their  snakes are healthy and disease-free. We also bring anti-bacterial (water-free) hand soap for the children to use before and after handling snakes.

  • Rank Advancements and Awards
  • Dessert Contest   –   Don’t forget to bring a dessert that displays the true spirit of scouting or the Nature Theme
  • Fun – It’s what we do at Pack 1800.

Open Shops

Don’t forget there will be two OPEN SHOP opportunities.  Our Committee Chair and Assistant Cubmaster Joe and Christina Sanchez have been gracious to open their garage and allow the Pack to use their tools and skills in helping with the cutting of the scout’s cars.  Please click on the OPEN SHOP event pages for more information.

Rules

Pack 1800 has rules set in place to make the competition as fair as possible.
These rules will be enforced and any car made with an unfair advantage will not participate in the race.

Please bring your car to the January Pack meeting on Thursday January 23rd for for a pre weigh-in…this is an opportunity to see if the car is too light, heavy or may need some modification before the event on February 1st.

Happy Holidays Pack 1800!

Yes. It’s that time again! It’s time for our December Pack Meeting. In addition to awards and advancement, this very special Pack meeting offers lots of great things going on this month including another fantastic opportunity to teach the boys about compassion and serving their community! What a great way to end a fantastic year in Scouting!

Tis the season of giving… and Pack 1800 always steps up to give back to the community.

At the December Pack meeting, the scouts will be assembling small holiday gifts to be given to over 300 disadvantaged children in Fort Bend County.

The gifts will be donated to Texana Center in Rosenberg.  Texana Center is focused on creating and delivering life changing services to people needing behavioral, intellectual and developmental care, support and education. Our goal is to unlock their potential for safe, independent and productive lives within local communities.
